Vest, Jacket or Overalls?

All of them carry reflective strips. The difference is how much of the body they cover and how they suit the job.

Which Visibility Class Do You Need?

High-visibility clothing is graded in classes under EN ISO 20471. A higher class means more bright fabric and more reflective strip on the garment. These are the minimum areas for each class.

EN ISO 20471 high-visibility classes
ClassBright fabric (min.)Reflective strip (min.)Commonly chosen for
Class 10.14 m²0.10 m²Low-risk work away from traffic, and slow-moving areas such as car parks and warehouses.
Class 20.50 m²0.13 m²Roadside and road works, loading yards, logistics and most construction sites.
Class 30.80 m²0.20 m²Fast traffic, poor light or bad weather, and long-sleeved jackets for the highest visibility.

Always check first: your tender, client or safety officer decides the class. Not every jacket carries a class, so read the product page, and ask us for the class and any certificate you need before you order. We will tell you plainly if a jacket does not meet it.

Pick a Colour That Works on Your Site

The bright fabric does the work in daylight, dawn and dusk. The strips do the work at night. Stock changes, so tell us the colour and numbers before a large order.

Fluorescent yellow-green

The most common choice. Stands out against grey roads, concrete and most daytime backgrounds.

Fluorescent orange

Stands out against green vegetation, farmland and plantations, and tells teams apart from yellow crews.

Red and other colours

Often used to mark supervisors, marshals, security or event staff. Ask us what is in stock.

How a Reflector Jacket Keeps You Seen

Two things work together. Bright fluorescent fabric makes the wearer stand out by day, at dawn and at dusk. Reflective strips send light from headlights straight back to the driver, so the wearer shows up in the dark.

That is why the strips must stay clean and unbroken, and why a jacket that hides under a coat or has faded fabric should be replaced.

  • Wash as the garment label says. Heat and harsh products can crack or dull the reflective strip.
  • Keep it clean. Mud and oil cover the strip and stop it reflecting light.
  • Replace it when the strip peels, cracks or turns grey, or when the bright fabric has faded.
  • Never wear it over a bulky coat that hides the strips. Wear it as the outer layer.

Reflector Jacket Questions

How much is a reflector jacket in Nairobi?

Reflector vests and jackets at Safety Hub currently cost from KSh 80 to KSh 3,000 each. The price list on this page is read from our shop, so it shows today's prices. VAT is shown on each product page, and larger orders get lower prices.

What is the difference between a reflector vest and a reflector jacket?

A vest is sleeveless, lighter and cooler, so it suits warm weather and quick changes. A jacket has sleeves, so arms are visible too and the wearer stays warm in wind and early-morning cold. Both carry reflective strips. Pick the vest for short, light tasks and the jacket for long shifts, roadside work and night work.

Which class of reflective jacket do I need?

Class 1, 2 and 3 in EN ISO 20471 describe how much bright fabric and reflective strip a garment has. Class 2 is common for roadside and site work, and class 3 is for fast traffic or poor light. Your tender, client or safety officer sets the requirement. Tell us what it says and we confirm which of our jackets meet it before you order.

Do your jackets meet a safety standard?

Standards differ between jackets. Check the product page for the specification, and ask us for the class and any test certificate you need for a tender or audit. We confirm before you order, and we do not claim a standard a jacket does not carry.

Can I get my company logo on the jackets?

Yes. We print or embroider names and logos on reflector jackets in Nairobi, in small runs or in bulk. One quote covers the jackets and the branding. See the branding page for the methods, or send your logo on WhatsApp +254 727 855 896.

Which colour should I choose?

Fluorescent yellow-green is the most common because it stands out in most daytime settings. Fluorescent orange works well against green backgrounds and helps tell one team from another. Stock changes, so tell us the colour and numbers you need before a large order.

Do you sell in bulk and accept LPOs?

Yes. We give lower prices on larger orders to contractors, security firms, schools, factories, government agencies and NGOs. We accept LPOs, M-Pesa, bank transfer and card. Request a quote on this page or WhatsApp +254 727 855 896.

How fast can I get reflector jackets delivered?

Orders placed before 2:00 PM on weekdays are delivered the same day in Nairobi. Elsewhere in Kenya it takes 24 to 48 hours by courier. We also deliver to Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda.

How do I look after a reflector jacket, and when should I replace it?

Wash it as the label says and keep the strips clean, because dirt stops them reflecting light. Replace the jacket when the strips peel, crack or turn grey, or when the bright fabric fades, because it no longer does its job.

Where can I buy reflector jackets in Nairobi?

Order online, or visit us at Kenneth Matiba Road, Junction Trade Centre, 7th Floor, Nairobi. We are open Mon–Fri 7:30 AM–6:00 PM · Sat 8:00 AM–5:00 PM · Closed Sundays & public holidays. Call +254 111 056 220 before you come.
