| Type | Standard on the label | Best for | Not for | Price from |
|---|---|---|---|---|

A starting point by job. Tell us your site and we recommend the right helmets.
| Job or place | What to buy | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Building and construction sites | Standard, heavy duty or Vaultex helmet | A hard shell protects against falling tools and bricks. |
| Factories and warehouses with falling-object risk | Standard or heavy duty helmet | Use a hard helmet wherever something can fall from above. |
| Roofs, towers, scaffolds and rope access | Work at height helmet | The chin strap keeps it on your head if you slip. |
| Low ceilings, pipes and workshops | Bump cap | Light and cool, for bumps rather than falling objects. |
| Welding and grinding | Welding helmet or hand-held shield, plus a hard hat if objects can fall | The shield protects eyes and face from arc light and sparks. |
| Visitors, inspectors and managers | Standard helmet in white or another site colour | Low price, and you can keep spares at the gate. |
Helmet colours follow each site's own code, for example one colour for workers and another for supervisors or visitors. Tell us your code when you order.
We print your logo or company name on helmets, so your crew and visitors are easy to tell apart on site.
Send the logo as a PNG or AI file, the helmet type and the number you need. We quote the helmets and the branding together.
Tell us the helmet types and how many of each. We quote a lower price per helmet on larger orders and deliver to your site. We supply contractors, factories, mines, schools and government agencies.
Safety helmets at Safety Hub currently cost from KSh 150 to KSh 4,319 each. Standard and construction helmets are at the low end, and ventilated work at height helmets are at the top. The price tables on this page are read from our shop, so they show today's prices. VAT is shown on each product page.
Standard ABS and light duty construction helmets are the lowest-priced hard hats. The price tables on this page are sorted from the lowest price up in each group, so the first row of each table is the cheapest in that type.
A safety helmet has a hard shell that protects against falling objects. A bump cap is a lighter cap for knocks against low roofs, pipes and shelves. It does not protect against falling objects, so do not use it where a hard hat is required.
A work at height helmet. It has a chin strap so it stays on if you slip or lean, and vents to keep you cooler on a roof or tower. It costs more than a standard helmet.
There is no single rule. Each site or company sets its own colour code, for example one colour for workers and another for supervisors or visitors. Ask your site safety officer, or tell us your code and we supply the colours.
Look at the marking on the helmet. Industrial safety helmets are normally marked EN 397, bump caps EN 812 and work at height helmets EN 12492. Tell us the standard your site requires and we show you the models that carry it.
