Fire Safety Training Questions

What does fire safety training in Kenya cover?

Our training covers fire awareness and prevention, hands-on use of water, CO2, foam and dry powder extinguishers, fire marshal duties and evacuation drills, emergency response procedures and a staff assessment. Each person who completes it gets a certificate, and you receive a training record for your workplace.

How much does fire safety training cost?

The price depends on the package, the number of staff and your location, so we quote for each job. Tell us your site and headcount through the form on this page or WhatsApp +254 727 855 896. Training is free when you buy fire equipment from us.

Do you train staff at our workplace?

Yes. We tailor the training to your premises, your staff and your fire risks, so people practise with the kind of extinguishers and exits they will find at work.

Is the training free?

It is free when you buy fire equipment from Safety Hub, such as fire extinguishers, fire blankets or detectors. If you did not buy from us, ask for a quote.

Will my staff use real extinguishers?

Yes. Staff practise on a controlled fire with water, CO2, foam and dry powder extinguishers, so they know how each one feels and which fire it is for. Practical sessions follow a safe set-up with a trainer beside each person.

What does a fire marshal do?

A fire marshal helps people leave the building when the alarm sounds. The marshal checks that the area is clear, closes doors, guides staff to the assembly point and helps count everyone present. Our fire-marshal training covers these duties and a practice evacuation.

Do staff receive certificates?

Yes. Each person who completes the training receives a certificate, and we give you a record of who attended, when and what was covered, for your files and inspections.

Does Kenyan law require fire safety training at work?

The Occupational Safety and Health Act, 2007 and the Fire Risk Reduction Rules, 2007 place fire safety duties on employers, including making sure staff know what to do in a fire. This is general information, not legal advice. Check with your safety officer or the Directorate of Occupational Safety and Health Services for what applies to your workplace.

Can you also supply the extinguishers?

Yes. We sell water, CO2, foam and dry powder extinguishers, fire blankets, detectors and exit signs, and we refill extinguishers. Buy fire equipment from us and the staff training is free.

Where are you based?

We are at Kenneth Matiba Road, Junction Trade Centre, 7th Floor, Nairobi and we are open Mon–Fri 7:30 AM–6:00 PM · Sat 8:00 AM–5:00 PM · Closed Sundays & public holidays. Call +254 111 056 220 to plan a training day.
